Good evening, is Chinh here. Let's talk about how we can stay productive.
Staying productive, in short, is finishing all of your tasks in a fixed amount of time.
I would argue that most of the people who struggle with productivity is struggling with starting the tasks.
Most of the time, if you can start a task, it is really easy to go into the "flow" later, making doing the tasks
feel seamless.
So, in this blog, I will teach you:
How to start the tasks. Here's what you gonna do:
- First, you need a watch. No matter if it is a physical or digital watch, as long as you can see the time, you're good.
- Second, create a "leaderboard" and track it in your mind. For example, if you do math from 10:15 to 10:55, you track it as "math: 40 mins" inside your mind. Since you track it in your mind, you are forcing your brain to recall what you have achieved today again & again. Creating a loop that motivates you to do more. You are NOT ALLOW to use any kind of visible tracker, as it will remove the purpose of this step.
- The leaderboard will be sorted from highest to lowest, from things that you spend most time doing to things you spend less time doing.
- You can track only the works, not the entertainment. Personally I only track how much works I do, things like math, cs, meditation, etc. Tracking entertainments makes me feel uncomfortable. But you can do what you want.
Thank you for your time, stay safe!
